Tumbleweed Festival Logo

For the annual Richland Tumbleweed Music Festival logo competition, I created a design that encapsulated the festival's theme "By water, under trees." My process began with a series of preliminary sketches on paper, which allowed me to explore different concepts featuring the required tumbleweed image and the phrase "Tumbleweed 2024."

After choosing two promising sketches, I traced them in Adobe Illustrator, employing techniques such as image tracing, precise pen and path tool utilization, and thoughtful typography to establish a clear hierarchy within the design. The image of a tumbleweed requested I thought would make a fantastic border for the rest of the image itself. I included colors that would encapsulate the theme and and make the individual aspects stand out.

Ultimately, the finalized logo not only adhered to the competition guidelines but also successfully conveyed the spirit of the festival.
